E-Title-Header

Echo Mountain, CO…April 18, 2009…Echo Mountain, Denver’s Closest, Cheapest and Freshest ski and ride area, has recorded almost five feet of new snow since late Thursday afternoon. As of 4p this afternoon, snow is still falling, and the National Weather Service is forecasting an additional accumulation of 5-9 inches.

As a salute to the late season snow, Echo Mountain is launching “More Snow Means Less Dough” this Sunday, April 19th. Single day lift tickets will be available to all skiers and riders for only $19. The $19 ticket is only available for purchase on-site and will be valid from 9a to 5p on Sunday, April 19th.

“We want this to be a reminder that Echo currently has some of the best skiing and riding conditions we’ve seen all season,” says Molly Mueller, Echo’s marketing director. “Most of the other ski areas in the state are either closed or are shutting down at the conclusion of this weekend, and Echo will be open until Sunday, April 26th.

Mueller also noted Echo Mountain’s ownership and management team are currently considering extending the 2008/2000 ski and ride season due to the recent snowfall. “We’re on private land, so we’re not tied to a fixed closing date,” she explained. “If conditions and demand warrant staying open a little longer, we’ll stay open a little longer.

Echo Mountain is Denver’s Closet, Cheapest and Freshest ski and ride area conveniently located only 35 miles from Downtown off Westbound I-70 at Exit 252. Late season days and hours of operation are as follows: 9a to 9p Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9a to 5p on Sunday and closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
